Friday evening saw Prime Minister Colin Luxbridge-Sullivan make a surprise, but hugely welcomed announcement in the midst of numerous Presidential candidacy confirmations. The Prime Minister mentioned that his cabinet had been 'looking into the future of the USOR's infrastructure' and that he has now 'approved plans for a new international airport west of the capital'. It is clear that the Prime Minister is eager to get the project started, with the promise that if re-elected, the government would initiate the construction within the next term of government.
The announcement itself has gained widespread praise across the USOR including from the President who labelled the proposals 'beautiful plans'.
While many of the details remain to be announced by the government, Prime Minister Luxbridge-Sullivan confirmed, in response to the President, that the plans 'shall offer all the capacity that an international mega hub for cargo and travel will require'.
With the Prime Minister's outspoken love for aviation, one thing's for sure, this is not a project that will be sidelined in his era of government. Along with the prospects of both cargo and passenger capacity and the increased connectivity and trade associated with that, citizens of the USOR have every reason to look forward to a brighter future.
The airport plans form only the latest in a series of exciting announcements from the incumbent government in their promises for re-election. We will continue to update as news breaks.
